LUSAKA — A total of 232 new advocates are set to be called to the Zambian Bar this week, marking a significant addition to the country’s legal fraternity.
The first batch of 100 new advocates took their oath today at the High Court for Zambia during a ceremony attended by senior members of the judiciary, the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ), and family members of the new entrants.
The remaining advocates are scheduled to be called to the Bar later in the week in subsequent sessions organized by the Judiciary.
The call to the Bar is a major milestone for law graduates, granting them the right to practice as legal practitioners in Zambia after completing their professional training under the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE).
Judicial authorities commended the new advocates for their perseverance and urged them to uphold integrity, professionalism, and commitment to justice as they begin their legal careers.
