Secretary to the Cabinet, Mr. Patrick Kangwa, has assured the public that the nation will soon receive an official update regarding the funeral arrangements of the late Sixth Republican President, Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

Mr. Kangwa stated that consultations between the government and the family have reached an advanced stage and preparations are being finalized.

He further called for calm and unity during this period of national mourning, emphasizing that both the State and the family are working closely to ensure a dignified and well coordinated send-off for the late former Head of State.

“The nation will be informed in due course. We ask for patience and calm as the government, in consultation with the family, concludes the necessary arrangements,” Mr. Kangwa said.
