Child Helpline International (CHI) is proud to announce the appointment of Helen Mason as its permanent Executive Director, effective 1 October 2025. Helen has been serving as Interim Executive Director since April 2025, providing inspiring and effective leadership during a pivotal period for the organization.
Her appointment follows a unanimous decision by the Supervisory Board, after consultation with the CHI team and members of the global network.
Helen brings deep institutional knowledge and extensive leadership experience. Between 2015 and 2018, she served as Co-Executive Director of CHI, and her recent tenure as Interim Executive Director has brought renewed energy, clarity, and continuity to the organization. Under her leadership, CHI has successfully delivered major events, including the International Consultation 2025 in Zambia, which culminated in the adoption of the groundbreaking Livingstone Declaration.
Helen’s appointment comes at a defining moment, as CHI moves forward with its Multi-Annual Strategic Plan 2025–2030, designed to strengthen the role of child helplines in addressing global challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
With Helen Mason at the helm, Child Helpline International looks ahead with renewed strength and vision: every child has a voice, and no child will be left unheard.
