WITH A MOTHER’S HEART, FIRST LADY MUTINTA HICHILEMA BRINGS HOPE TO SOLWEZI THROUGH ESSENTIAL DONATIONS

‎In a gesture reflecting the warmth of a mother’s love, First Lady Mrs Mutinta Hichilema has extended a helping hand to patients and communities in Solwezi, donating essential supplies to ease their struggles and bring comfort to those in need.

‎Among the donations to Solwezi General Hospital were 50 mattresses for patients to rest on, 100 bags of mealie meal to feed hungry families and blankets to provide warmth to those facing cold nights. The First Lady also donated sugar, cooking oil and 80 sewing machines to empower local cooperatives, ensuring that families can build a better future for themselves.

‎Mrs Hichilema shared that her desire is to touch lives and bring hope where it is needed most, ensuring that no patient or family feels alone during challenging times.

‎North Western Province Permanent Secretary Col. Grandson Wishikoti Katambi (Rtd), who received the donations on behalf of the province, expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the First Lady’s compassion will leave a lasting impact on the patients and communities of Solwezi.

‎“This is more than a donation, it is a mother’s touch reaching the bedsides of the sick and the homes of the needy,” he said.

‎The First Lady’s visit serves as a reminder that true leadership is rooted in kindness, and that the spirit of community grows stronger when we choose to care for one another.
