Mumbwa, Zambia.
President Hakainde Hichilema’s commitment to decentralisation and equitable development is transforming education access in communities, with the latest milestone being the completion of a 1×3 classroom block at Namatombwa Community School in Choma Ward.
The project, funded under the 2024 Nangoma Constituency Development Fund (CDF) at a cost of K997,523.73, aligns with the New Dawn Government’s agenda to bring tangible development directly to the people through the CDF mechanism.
90 desks have also been delivered to Namatombwa Community School, enhancing the learning environment for pupils and reducing congestion in classrooms.
President Hichilema has prioritised the CDF as a tool for grassroots empowerment, ensuring that no community is left behind in the national development agenda.
The successful completion of this project demonstrates how decentralised resources can uplift communities, improve educational outcomes and empower local residents with ownership over their development journey.
The New Dawn Government remains committed to advancing similar projects across the country to improve education infrastructure and create a conducive learning environment for every child, regardless of location.
