The Ministry of Technology and Science has provided crucial clarification regarding the administration of the 2025 Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) Bursary Awards.
This announcement aims to streamline the bursary application process and enhance accessibility for eligible students across Zambia.
During a press briefing, Hon. Felix Mutati, Minister of Technology and Science, emphasized that the TEVET bursaries would now be managed by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
This adjustment ensures better coordination and accessibility for applicants seeking financial assistance.
Hon. Mutati also revealed the launch of the 2025 online TEVET Bursary application system, designed to make the application process efficient and user-friendly.
Applicants are required to be enrolled in TEVET-registered programs ranging from Craft to Diploma levels at institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Technology and Science.
The Minister highlighted that this initiative seeks to address the challenges faced by students who missed out on receiving bursary awards through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
By providing an alternative pathway, the government aims to expand access to skills development opportunities for all potential learners.
The government, under the New Dawn administration, remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for skills development in alignment with the 8th National Development Plan.
This initiative is a significant step toward realizing Zambia’s Vision 2030, which prioritizes inclusive education and support for various educational programs.
Through these efforts, the Ministry of Technology and Science reinforces its dedication to empowering Zambians with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.
