PRESIDENT HICHILEMA ENGAGES IN HIGH-LEVEL ROUNDTABLE WITH HIS MAJESTY KING CHARLES III AT DUMFRIES HOUSE

President Hakainde Hichilema has reaffirmed Zambia’s commitment to strengthening education and skills development during a high-level roundtable hosted by His Majesty King Charles III at Dumfries House under the King’s Foundation.

The President, accompanied by the First Lady, expressed gratitude to His Majesty for showcasing the transformative work being done through the King’s Foundation, which has become a global model for building sustainable communities through education, skills training, and environmental stewardship.

The roundtable also featured Baroness Smith, the UK Minister for Skills, providing an opportunity to discuss practical approaches to education reform and skills development. President Hichilema highlighted Zambia’s education priorities, including aligning curricula with modern economic needs, tackling climate change, and equipping young people with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

“These conversations are not just about exchanging ideas. They are about building lasting partnerships that deliver real benefits for Zambians through knowledge transfer, new opportunities, and investment in human capital,” President Hichilema emphasized.

Earlier, His Majesty King Charles III hosted the President and First Lady on a tour of the Dumfries Estate, further strengthening the bond between Zambia and the United Kingdom
