The Zambia Police Service has commenced full-scale investigations into a viral immoral video that has ignited public outrage across various social media platforms.
The explicit footage, which features two unidentified female individuals engaging in indecent conduct, has raised serious concerns over the rising trend of digital obscenity and its impact on public morality.
In a statement issued today, Police Public Relations Officer Rae Hamoonga confirmed that law enforcement authorities are actively probing the origin and distribution of the video.
“We wish to remind members of the public that the possession, production, and circulation of obscene materials is a criminal offence under Section 177 of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia,” Mr. Hamoonga stated.
As the investigation unfolds, the Zambia Police is appealing to the public to refrain from sharing, downloading, or engaging with the offensive material in any form. Authorities have reiterated that anyone found in contravention of the law will face the full force of justice.
“The Zambia Police Service strongly warns the public to desist from engaging in this vice, as such conduct not only violates the law but also offends public morality and decency,” he added.
The police have reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to upholding moral standards, safeguarding societal values, and protecting the dignity of all individuals in Zambia.
Further updates will be issued as investigations progress.
